stock turbo full boost at 5800RPM need help

and yes i searched, well a few weeks ago i blew up my turbo, i guess it was running way to lean and overheated. well last week i got the stock replacement in and running,

heres the issue, it does not hit full boost untill 5800RMP, tried all different settings on the boost controller even put on an MBC to see if that was the issue, checked my meth kit and nothing there.

also attached is my data log from the run. any ideas?

sounds like a waste gate preload adjustment issue. check that first. next, check for boost leaks. next, check to see if your BOV is oriented properly.

By taking the WG arm off the WG flapper, turning the turnbuckle clockwise until the hole on the WG arm is below the flapper when turned to its lowest point, then pull up the arm and stick it onto the flapper pin. This is preload. If there isn't enough preload, then boost will ramp up very slowly and not peak until much later.

As for your previous turbo, running lean wouldn't affect the turbo - that would hurt the engine.

Depending on what max boost setting you like to run on CA p*ss gas, you should probably try to leave the preload a couple PSI under your max target boost. For example, if you like to run 19# boost, then set preload at 17#.

There is no rule of thumb for setting preload. So, you have to use caution when increasing WG preload. Each turbo/WGA combo and taking into account exhaust mods may require you to adjust the actuator rod differently. Take it slow and rotate the turnbuckle on the actuator rod in by one rotation increments(360*) and do a WOT boost run in 4th or 5th after each rotation. Remember, you will be shortening the threaded actuator rod.

ok sounds like a plan, the turbo was running vary hot and burning oil, i guess we jumped to conclusions about it running lean. and yes CA gas sucks @ss.
