o2 Housing/Downpipe install

I'm using an Invidia o2 Housing and an XS Power downpipe and it seems to be a few mm off from fitting or is this how this flange is supposed to fit?

Thanks for the help in advance!

thats how its supposed to fit the down pipe will not cover all of the exhauts gasket. it will only pinch it to make a seal or fit really snug once you tighten it up. there are only two i believe that dont use any gasket at that joint one is from bushur and one is from megan but its only a certain megan.

Yah...I'm pretty skeptical about it too. There's about a 5mm gap...which would probably drop another 2mm once I bolt it together...but still not sure.

That is how it's supposed to fit. The donut gasket acts like a joint so the downpipe can shift around if needed.

this is how it is suppoesed to fit. its not ridiculos its how all car companys make these things when u have that kind of gasket they never cover the entier thing. those gaskets were made to be compressed to seal not swallowed by the downpipe. this is how it sits in there if you put it on and tighten the down pipe on that gasket it should not leak unless you have a bad gasket.

Remove the brass ring and it may fit better. I had to do this with my Invidia O2/Works DP.

you can take off the brass gasket, but its better if you use it, and yes. that is how it fits. the spring bolts help tighten the O2 and DP together. see how they arent regular bolts..
