engine flush

engine flush

i want to do an engine flush on the evo and was wondering what you guys use when you do it what brand or and how you do it. thanks ahead of time.

engine flush. you should be able to find them at your local auto shop.

also consider how much mileage you have on your motor and when was the last time an engine flush was done. sometimes an engine flush may cause more problems because it does exactly what is labeled on the site. so, if you've never had an engine flush, think twice and take it to a shop to have an evaluation.

I use BG Purge every 3 months or so. After I use BG Purge, I change the filter and follow up with another flush using non synthetic motor oil to remove any residue left over from the flushing. Then, I drain again and add my normal synthetic oil and replace the filter.

That's the same way I did it. I wanted to make sure all of the cleaning detergent is out of the motor. Safe way to do it.
I usually flush not more than once per year.
Changing oil more frequent would keep the internal cleaner.

This is my opinion on engine flushes..
If you change oil every 3K...your already doing it.
