Engine Flush Question

I have a Evo Ix with just under 12000 miles on it. I has always used mobil 1 oil and mobil 1 oil filter. I am now switching to AMSoil with WIX filter. My local AMSoil dealer said I probably should do a engine flush with AMSoil engine flush.

What do you guys think?

Thanks,
BG

Waste of money due to the reasons of you already run synthetic and you have low miles so I doubt there's much sludge. If you plan on running the amsoil for an extended amount of time then go ahead and get the flush but I still personally wouldn't.

But I believe he's asking us because we are less biased. To the OP just do the engine flush for peace of mind then.

I wouldn't see any reason too. I've seen people switch from Mobil 1 to amsoil and haven't had any issues.

well - if the rep knows your not going to buy from him.. he might be more inclined to just provide info

with 12K on the car ??? heck no you dont need to flush ! ,,, that engine is still a baby

unless you have 100K plus on the motor no need to flush, even some cars with 100K plus not needed

I have put over 10k miles on my evo since I switched to AMSoil. No problems at all and I did not do a flush.

I have no idea what was ran in it before I got it but I know it runs better with AMSoil in my opinion than it did before. I changed out all my fluids engine, T case, trany, and rear diff. I am not going back to anything else.
