interesting results for a Evo IX with a EvoGreen and Cosworth Cams. I wonder what it would look like with 93 octane gas.

So the Cosi Cams bumped this car up 18whp and 10fpt? I thought the S1's were doing a lot better than that.

If you are asking me, this was on a dyno dynamics...

the car had intake, mbc, turboback with high flow cat and no o2 housing, fuel pump, custom tune and a damn bov leak at 22psi spike and 93 octane...

since then i upgraded intercooler, o2 housing, bov, sparkplugs, use of redline oil and in a couple of days i will upgrade my cat with a metalic substrate unit, intercooler piping kit and of course retune again at 23psi...

Let's not forget your cat converter.

Listen to Sean mate...

Even when getting a high flow cat, especially if it is a ceramic substrate unit, the restriction is significant especially because we operate in higher boost levels... I would expect at least 10-15whp increase by using a testpipe, but i wont... Prefered to upgrade the cat to a metallic core unit with flow over 600cfm (according to the manufacturer) which will still restrict but much less than the ceramic units...

I guess the numbers are impressive for 90 octane. Damn I thought california sucks with our 91 but 90? jessus I feel sorry for you guys!
The GSC S1's fall off before 7000rpm. Proven by AMS. They make good midrange power which is what they were designed for. The Cossies make power everywhere and dont fall off at redline.

What are you expecting on 90 octane gas? If you were using 90 octane and a 35r, you probably still wouldnt hit 400 whp.

Pay attention to the gains throught the power band. Thats pretty much what every tuner/distributer has been preaching since day 1. They make more than that throughout the power band in various places. And the S1's may have a bit more midrange but they do fall off before 7k rpm.

AMS comparison of GSC S1's for those who missed it. Stock cams compared to S1's.

Just eyeballing each cam's dynograph, it appears that:

The Cosworth cams make relatively uniform power gains throughout the entire powerband, up past 7.5k (better for bigger turbo); with the exception of a dead spot around 5200 where they don't seem to be making any power over stock.

The GSC S1's, on the other hand, appear to make the majority of their power gains over more of a daily driver powerband (i.e. 4200 - 6800 rpm).

These graphs should not be used to compare the actual gains between the two sets of cams, as the cars running the cams were not similarly modded (i.e. stock turbo vs FPGreen, and pump 93 vs 90)

^^ nah, I know he wouldn't hit it on 90 pump.. I want 400 on race gas.. With the fp green on a dyno dynamic since it reads lower then a mustang at least the one I go to
