Cossie Cams & FP GREEN Evo IX dyno numbers!!

For the Evo IX owners looking at COSWORTH cams, checkout this before & after cam installation (stock vs. cossie)...

The IX was tuned at same boost levels 24 psi falling to 20 psi by redline, same low 90 octane gas and with all same mods as with stock cams, only difference was the addition of cossie cams.

The car was tuned using ECUflash by Greg @ Machines Gone Wild

BLUE run is with COSWORTH CAMS

GREEN run is with stock cams

Evo IX Mods:

Stock turbo manifold
Stock 02 housing
3" downpipe to 3" Greddy Titanium Exhaust
Stock airbox with K&N drop-in
Boost 24psi falling to 20 psi by redline on 90 octane
Custom LICP & 3" univ. FMIC upgrade
COSWORTH Cams with their springs, retainers & lifter kit.

This car can produce much more, if the owner added open air-filter, and got the HP actuator to stable the boost, and changed his exhaust to a better flowing less restrictive unit...IMHO

THIS IX hauls ***...truss mi

Not all gas is created equal. Their 90 oct could be equivalent to our 93-94 oct. These results are in line with everything else we've seen. They are producing more top end power than the GSC S1's. The midrange gains also looks on par with the S1's. I would say, Cossis are the way to go.

Oh yeah, 10 posts now in this thread. It'll probably get out of control in here by bedtime.

Why do you say it needs a better exhaust, there is nothing wrong with the Greddy Ti. Were you talking about the downpipe?

great numbers! I am afraid of the boost levels though ;-)

AFAIK 90 in the Caribbean means 90 here...its the same RON (sp) scale..

At least that's what my fine a** friend in the petroleum industry told me lol
