yeah I've heard a lot about the ebay intercoolers. I believe with something like an intercooler that its possible for it to be a good deal. I just don't know if I'm sure enough to buy that though. I'd like to stick with something that has some what of a name behind it. although I could be very wrong in thinking that. I havent done any looking into the nisei but have also heard its good. Does anyone know its dimensions?

I am running the standard Nissei unit with my stock turbo. If I had it to do over, I would get the Nissei Competition or the Buschur Racing Race Intercooler. However, If I had lots more funds, I might try the ARC or HKS R, although they haven't been proven to be any more efficient than the Buschur unit. Incidentally, the Nissei is a heavy *****, and won't fit with the stock undertray! Did I mention that it is heavy?

Opinions are like a-holes, everyone's got one. Unless there is hard data comparing the top three *trusted* and *proven* brand names it's all opinion. Which is what you've got here sir.

I personally chose to go with AMS. True--I could have gotten the BR for a bit less--but I preferred the AMS 3" outlets, and the lack of needing to mess around with the WG vac tubing (I've heard that the BR and some other names r^2 that piece as well--and then have read about customers' problems with intake flutter--but please do some research on this as I have a fuzzy memory). I also didn't like the bad press on the shipping methods from BR. Though that can happen to any company via UPS hospitality.

I also liked the "AMS" being painted on the front. It's a nice touch when it's installed. But then that's just vanity at that point. Car pulls a bit harder on the stock turbo, and there's seemingly less lag.

Good luck with your choice.

The ARC Intercooler won "Best Design" in 2005 for the most efficient intercooler on the market. Its really damn efficient, I just dont know how much power it can support because its surprisingly small and very very light. They had a demo at SEMA last year that showed air entering at 29psi @ 150C and comming out the otherside at 28.4psi @ 30C. It was really quite amazing as I have never seen an intercooler that efficient for its size, and only losing .6psi. It pretty much sold me on the spot, but dang they are pricey and they dont come with UICP or LICP.
