Intercooler Upgrade BIG question

I have a stock turbo at the moment but I plan on upgrading the the ams gt35r kit sometime in the probably distant future. But I'll be using my stock turbo until I save enough money up. Would an ams street intercooler work well with the gt35r and the stock turbo also??? or would I be better off to plan ahead with the ams race intercooler???

just confused if the gt35r kit even really needs the ams racing intercooler.

please tell me what ya'll think

and yeah I've tried searching. a lot

You should be fine with the street core.

If your going to upgrade your IC, and you plan on running a GT35, why not go with the biggest IC you can get. The AMS race core is pretty pricey but you can get other IC's that are the same size for a lot less. Personally I run the Buschur Race core and I have been very happy with it.

Here is a link to my review if you are interested.

yeah the AMS race core does have a BIG price tag. I think its between the AMS and Buschur race core.

AMS Website Prices
the AMS race core: 22”x12.4”x4”. $1,734.95

AMS Street core: 12.4" tall, 20" wide (28" with endtanks) and 3.625" thick $729.95

Buschur Racing Website Prices
Buschur Racing deluxe core: 24 x 10.5 x 3.5 $759.00

Buschur Racing Race Core: 24" x 13" x 4 $759.00

common sense would tell me to get the buschur racing "Race core" because it is the largest and is also a lot cheaper than the AMS Race core. But I dont really know much about intercoolers. Is there a way to flow too much air for my "current" stock turbo setup. If not I'd hands down get the bigger one because I definetly am going to upgrade to the GT35R someday when I rob the local bank lol

thanks for ya'lls input.

The Buschur Race Core does not come with any pipes. Also the size of the inlet and outlet is 2.5" on the Buschur compared with the AMS race core which has 3" inlet and outlet.
