stock to t3 adapter

Has anyone tried to fabricate an adapter that will convert the stock manifold flange to a t3 flange. If so, how far down off of the manifold does it come down and what angle does the t3 flange need to be at for the turbo to clear everything.

revhard makes a "stock like" cast manifold with a t3 outlet and 38mm WG flange. Kinda cool product. I like cast over tubular.

The evo series turbo are reverse rotation, there is no way to make a fit on a stock manifold because it would push the turbo in to the radiator, if someone was to design reverse rotation aftermarket turbo's the it wouldn't be a problem.... so to answer your question, no one but ATP makes a turbo that will bolt to the stock manifold.

stock manifold is a twinscroll design. a T3 housing does not use a twinscroll design. put a stock evo turbo next to a garret gt30 series turbo and you will see the difference.

The stock manifold uses a Mitsubishi turbo flange pattern, not a T3.

I think Vishnu makes an adapter; but I don't think they will sell it without a complete kit.

Saw this adapter: T3 divided turbo to EVO VIII manifold adapter flange

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/T3-di...Q5fCarQ5fParts

Should allow you to bolt on a t3 twinscroll turbo like a 3071 or 3076 to the stock Evo Manifold...

Anyone try it?

Additionally, ATP makes reverse rotation turbos and adapters for use with the stock manifold. I'm looking into one this spring.
