New HTA 35R testing finally done and in....
SLAYER - Satan Laughs As You Eternally Rot?
ADIDAS All Day I Dream About Sex?
KMFDM - Kill Mother F...king Depeche Mode?
HTA - Hauls Teh Anus?
All of those are wrong by the way, the only one I know for real is Adidas ... short for Adi Dasler, the company's founder.

Took my RS out again Friday night, hot as hell. Still ran 9.78 at 146.9 mph, that of course was on radials and I drove it there and home.
The turbo is on the dyno now getting the MAF data Robert has been waiting for.
I asked about the HTA naming. The letters all designate something different about how the wheel was designed and such. Each letter stands for a series of changes the wheel went through to get it where it is. So it is basically Robert's secret notes.
We can call it Hot Tight A, I like that one the best.

Interesting that the Green turbo is also an HTA design, because, with respect to the stock IX turbo, it spools a little later and has more top-end; whereas the HTA 35r seems to improve spool and midrange more over the standard 35r...
The Green wheel is a 20G, which is LARGER than the IX, which is why there is a (very slightly) later spool and (quite a bit) more top end.
The HTA 35R is the same size as the standard 35R, it just flows better, which is why it makes more power everywhere.
jbrown,
The info you posted is not entirely correct. The Green wheel is not a 20g wheel. the 20g wheel is a wheel built by Mitsubishi that had 6 blades. The HTA wheel for the Green turbo is a completely custom designed wheel by FP and has only 5 blades.
The HTA 35r wheel is also NOT the same size as a 35r wheel, actually it is slightly smaller than a standard 35r wheel. The design of the wheel allows it to make the same power as a standard 35r wheel but outspool it and make more power in the midrange.

Aargh Dave, everytime I see you have a new post here I hope its good news
With your current 35R what is the rpm that it starts to run out of breath? Has that changed with the new design or are they pretty equal up top?
