i have a IX so guys right now i have exhaust, boost controller, at 23 psi, and that is it, are the gsc s1's, gonna be better than the cosworth's? Im having trouble deciding out of these two. Which one is gonna give me more gains, help decide...........its tough for me to decide, i will be getting valve springs and retainers with these also...
and also can i get any gains with the the cam gears, ?
yeah i was leaning toward the cosworths, they have a deal on gruppe s where u can get the cams and the springs and retainers for 849, but i read a thread once where i thought i saw where they had proven on a dyno where the gsc s1's made more ponies then the cosworths, but i cant find that thread again now that im looking for it. thanks for the input u two guys that just chimed in, anybody else have any more advice...

1.) Get the Cosworth cams. You won't regret it.
2.) You don't need cam gear(s). You could only use one on the exhaust side anyway, and nobody has shown gains in modifying the exhaust cam timing on the IX that I know of. Cosworth says you don't need them, for whatever that's worth.

alrighty, thanks again, i guess cosworth it is, also is there a turbo housing i could get that could give me some extra ponies, because im also gonna get the buschur ported and coated manifold and thinking about a o2 housing if it could give me any real gains. what do u guys think about a o2 housing, and which one...

an Ebay O2 housing has been shown to add around 10-15whp/tq and better spool. I believe the Megan Racing O2 housings are identical.
As for the IX cams, I talked to one of the vendors on here who sells BOTH for the same price (so somewhat less biased) - he recommended the GSC S1's for a stock or stock-like turbo (Green) only; but if you have ANY intentions of ever going bigger turbo upgrade, go Cosworth - the S1's will not be enough cam.
From what I have seen, the GSC's act more like a 264 on the VIII's (more midrange bump) and taper back down to stock around 6800rpm - fun for daily driver/autox. Cosworth's (272) made equal power throughout the rev range, no taper past 7000rpm (would be better for bigger turbo/high rpm/drag racing); but not as much around 5200rpms where the S1's shine...
If you're going to run the FP Green with them, it's probably best to think if you will be drag racing or daily driving the car.
