evo IX not boosting?

I only have 6psi in all gears, tapers to 5psi.
Did the boost leak test, it's leaking, but its a slow leak, and not audiable anywhere.

Car info:
2006 evo IX MR

Only thing on it is intake and MBC set for 20psi.
Throws a service engine soon code of vaccum leak.

Any help is appriceated.

has nothing to do with intake or mbc... if he did it wrong it would be at wastegate...

and with the intake would just stutter or bog a little...

theres a plug that connects to the MAF... did u plug that back in?

I did plug everything back in, not the first turbo car I have worked on. The ARC box hasn't been known to trip the sensor as well. The MBC is a Buschur piece, and is hooked up properly with 2 new vaccum lines removing the pills.

The ARC box has been in a month, and the problem just arose on thursday.

There is a small leak somewhere, but will the engine cont. to hold pressure forever untill it is removed, or will it slowly bleed off?

Okay, stock airbox is back on, the engine and all hoses hold pressure at 10ish psi. Still throwing the service engine light.
Boost is holding "steady" at .45 bar. I am at a loss for this one.

A clogged cat can cause some funny boost issues. Is it spooling slowly too?

Where are the 2 lines plugged into? Did you cap off both selinoid ends, and plug back in the sensor? What kind of BOV?

There's a code for a vaccuum leak? Which code is it?

Put the boost system back to stock, too, and see what happens. The only way it would be at base wastegate pressure (10-11psi) is if you hooked up the MBC wrong.

The mbc was working perfectly on wensday, that was the other thing the OBDI2 reader said at autozone.
I am going to see if it is a clogged cat tommorrow. (what would cause a cloggecd cat? And will a stock ecu throw a code if I run a cat-delete? Or if I gut the cat?)

the boost sensors are capped toghether with a single vaccum line like the Evom.net DIY shows.
the bov is a stock mr recirc valve

A little off topic. But someone i know had hooked up thier EBC wrong (lines swapped) and was running off wastegate pressure. But when he romped on it, it spiked at 33psi? Did it actually spike at 33psi, or was this an ebc glitch?

Always love to hear it when I am right.

Have you been running race gas through it -- leaded fuel specifically?
You may be able to get it repaired under warranty if not. Emissions equipment has an 8 year warranty on it.

Good luck,
