Once you reach these rates of acceleration the driving experience of the Evo is starting to feel less Evo like and more skateboard like for lack of a better term. Its kind of like trying to drive a normal evo down a snow covered road with black ice at full speed.

I am starting to think that once you get this far into the pursuit of ultimate power production the only thing that can stop you is either bankruptcy or an accident.

Sometimes, it may be best to leave the party while things are still hopping rather than waiting till they turn on the bright lights and sweeping the floor.
First let me say congrats on your licensing, as I personal know it can be a pain.

It is kinda funny how you said this because I was honestly saying this to myself literally months ago with my old project car. People blurt out alot of large hp numbers like they are so easy to obtain and like they are so common place. But untill they are behind the wheel of a car that makes the horsepower they so casual talk about and actual realize how brutally violent and scary it really is the talk will always just be that, talk.

Keep making the passes you did untill the skin grows alittle thicker because I know I can't wait to see this car make some passes this year . Good luck bro!

You sir are just the type of internet tool of whom i was making reference in my video

You spread gossip you hear on another internet forum as fact

if you dont have anything positive to contribute - then why not just stay out of the thread ?

What have you ever tuned or drive that went 9 seconds to put you into a poistion to judge my efforts of tuning my car? WHo are you John Force - NOT !

Simply put - a hater - nasty = negative spreader of false rumors

Plase go craw under anouther rock

BTW - here is the video I recently made of myself tuning the aem in my race car

its from what i hear from evom members and big name shops....like i said maybe its true, maybe its not..

and i knew you were talking about me thats why i said that "i was mentioned" in my first post...

and why does it have to be a 19yr old zit face wanting to race you?hes probably telling all his friends that hes gonna race a big fat guy in a evo

oh and btw 9.90 on a 42R is weak...

and no ive never riden/drove or own a 9sec evo,but who cares!anyways you dont have to be pissed at me,why dont you get pissed at all the people who say that about you..even on your own post people were saying "its probably a pissed off customer wondering where is ECU is"..how does that make you feel??its not all me..

You arguing with "some zit faced 19 year old", on the internet no less, really says alot about your personality and the kind of business person you are.

I was thinking that what seperates the true racers I see at the track every time from these internet thugs is determination, sacrifice and effort. There is no reward or compensation for this hobby, the joy is in the step by step planning, building and execution of a project. The process of doing it is what the real racer is in this for.

There are too many loud mouths who pontificate and hold themselves as experts who have never yet pushed themselves or demonstrated any tangible evidence of their claimed skills. Even worse when the internet forum thugery advances to the opening of a tuning business where these people try and guide customers to do something they never even did themselves. Anyone can call themselves a "tuner"

As I said, talk is cheap.

Those who I am thinking of know who they are.
You know, you have been constantly trying to prove how much better you and Dave Buschur are than everyone else. A majority of the people on this very forum do not "race" or "tune professionally" or try to "break records". We own Evos because we enjoy high performance machines. Some of them are our daily drivers and some not. Despite what you may think, there is more to a car than going 160mph in a straight line. We don't all "live our lives a quarter mile at a time." That is great that you only get to enjoy your Evo 10 seconds or so at a time. I personally prefer to drive mine to work, school, back home and occasionall to SCCA and track events. It's more of an all around machine. I get to enjoy mine on a daily basis, you do not. Because I don't put my car on a drag strip doesn't make me any less of an enthusiast as you. On that same note, because I am not a "real racer", whatever that means, doesn't make me any less of a person. If I chose a track course as opposed to a straight line course, that doesn't make one better than the other. Different strokes for different folks, as they say. In this country I have what is commonly reffered to as Freedom of Speech. I can say whatever I feel. A real successful tuner doesnt need to argue with 19 year old zit mongers or use any words for that matter, they show what they are made of with results. So quit trying to belittle people. Try educating them instead of telling everyone that Buschur is a genious and advising them to buy his products. I'm quite sure if his reputation is what he says it is he doesn't need the assistance of a cheerleader shouting "Go Buschur, Buschur go!!!. There are other products that work just as well. I enjoy reading your rediculous comments such as "arguing with some zit faced 19 year old", it shows how ignorant and immature you are. In closing, I'm not e-thugging or trying to bait you into some mindless debate, I'm voicing an opinion. Thanks for listening.

Thumbs down Please don't ruin this good thread Al made, thanks!

You two have got to be freaking kidding me! People come on this forum to read information about parts and to see what new things have come out and about for their car! IMO you guys really need to stop wasting your time writing all these bother some comments and go else where to find your "Daily drivable stuff" If you didn't care about racing or any of that other crap you mentioned, you wouldn't of click on this thread KNOWING THAT AL IS WORKING ON A 9 SECOND LICENSE AND NOT DRIVING TO MCDONALDS FOR A D@MN BURGER! Now, Frankly I know you have a freedom of speech, I'm that soldier that's deployed defending that very right, but you don't have to come here and tell some one how immmature you think he or she is to make everyone see your point! Frankly I saw that back in high school, and I can concur with Al and what he says! Some people here have mom and dad buy them everything and don't value absolutely anything! They think that having huge Dyno numbers win racers, but really it doesn't do anything if they can't handle it! I on the other hand work d@mn hard, and risk a lot compared to other people, and a goal of mines is to have a bad a$$ EVO! and that's exactly what I'm going to do! Period! Now Al is helping me out, letting me see what I will have to go through for a 9 sec license, what the power potential of the EVO's motor has, and what's a good vender to start off with in his opinion! Never did Al, grab a gun and said he was going to shoot me if I didn't buy a Buschur product!!!! I researched, I called I e-mailed and made MY OWN, GROWN A$$ MAN DECISION! So please, don't come onto these thread to gripe and complain, I was really enjoying the first couple of pages till now. So go else where and look for the things you enjoy as for the rest of us, who enjoy this $H*t, will just sit here and read his experiences! THANKS!

I was not talking about you in particular - there are a million other idiots just like you who spread the same negative vibe about others who are out there doing something

so so called "big named shops" are telling you that I did not tune my car, that I did not drive my car - WOW - I imagine what their motivationm for spreading such rumors is when they cant even get thier own evos down the track without dumping a gallon of oil on the track and venting the pistonm through the block

Again - here is the video I made of my progress this year tuning my AEM myself in my car

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=259811

Ok so you say "oh and btw 9.90 on a 42R is weak..." - well my point is that you never did anything expect talk a lot of hot air

Who are you to say its weak or not ? What qualifies you to make such judgments?

This is the whole point of my new slogan

Racers run their cars

Punks run their mouths

You sir are just a loud mouth, doing nothing yourself and tearing down the accomplishments and actions of others.

Its easy to spread gossip and rumors from behind your keyboard on the internet

If it makes you feel like a tough guy - knock yourself out

To me and others who follow the credo

Racers run their cars

Punks run their mouths

You are a typical buffon filled with nothing but hot air and empty words

Words and talk will never win a race
