with a 35 r and rods and pistons. My question is how much psi can u boost without running race fuel......Im just wondering because it seems like i cant run to much psi because it cant be combusted....but i could have sworn i have seen evos running like 500 horses on pump gas....can some one explain this to me...

 

To my knowledge on straight 93 you can run 21-23 psi. Anything over that would require meth or race gas.

 

The amount of boost you can run will be limited by the octane of the fuel. That being said, there are different ideas as to how to maximize power with different combinations of fuel, timing and boost. With the big turbo, I would run less timing so that I could run the maximum boost my fuel would allow. Search and you'll find some guys running 25 psi or so on 93 or 94.

 

oh ok so even on bigger turbos than stock people are still runnin 23 psi tops without race gas....because im shootin for 500 on pump with 35 r pistons and rods....possible?

 

Not on that turbo without methanol. Not easily anyway.

 

what about stock 16g turbo? can i raise up the boost by just using 110 octane without tune?
