"The difference between the kits is that the street brawler kit uses the standard bushing turbos, with a 360 degree thrust (which is a better quality upgrade over a standard bushing turbo), while the "50 trim" kit, has a ball bearing center section. The turbos use the same turbine and compressor wheels, but the center sections are different. The conventional wisdom is that the ball bearing turbos respond more quickly, but there are large numbers of people who are using standard bushing turbos in Evo and other applications and doing just fine, so the choice is pretty much do you want to spend the extra $ for a ball bearing, or can you be happy with saving the difference in $ and still getting a super high quality manifold from Shearer? Either way, you win. "
i know not to many of you are faund of non bb 50 trims but is shearers non bb any good.

There's nothing wrong with a non-BB turbo. There are thousands out there doing what they are supposed to. It's simply a matter of preference and $.
Shearer does not make turbos. They source them just like Buschur and AMS. They come from PTE, who is the vendor from whom many, many Evo and other HP performance companies buy their turbos. Nothing really unique about the turbos in the Shearer kit (either of them), whether they are BB or standard, like the bushing 50 trim. The unique part of the Shearer kit is the REST of the kit, much of which is hand made. That's the part you get at a lower price, and if you want to buy a BB turbo of one kind or another later, you can swap it right in, as long as the form factor is the same (turbine housing, compressor cover, etc.)

That’s about it.
The BB center sections are a superior design-but they just as, if not more susceptible to damage from oil contaminants when compared to the 360 Thrust bearing turbos.
Also-the downpipe, intake, charge pipe, and fans are options in the street bawler kit. It is the perfect kit for the Evo owner that has some money to modify his car, but has bills, school, or family to keep in mind when budgeting out money for mods.
At ShearerFab -"We're here for YOU!"
60-1 is between a 50 trim, and a 35r in terms of power and spool.
A T-61 shares the exact same compressor wheel as a GT35r.
And- a T-67r is exactly the same as a "AMS 37r". I used quotations because what AMS has labeled a 37rit is not actually a 37r at all
Garrett sells a GT37, and its not what AMS sells as a GT37r-
This is the Garrett GT37r
http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbob...6_452159_1.htm
This is what AMS sells as a 37r, and what we sell (and what is commonly referred to) as a 67r or PT-67, named for its 67mm compressor.
PT-67 67mm 2.620"3.310" Compressor P-trim 3.110"2.695" Turbine

It is nothing but clever marketing on AMS’s part. I not trying to cause a stink here, I just think the public should be educated on what they are really buying.
