I have been getting whinning noise kinda like a supercharger along with turbo sound any boost above 5 psi. It's definately isn't the transmission.

I thought maybe a leak somewhere but I can't detect it anywhere. I have pretty much every bolt on with stock turbo. This started happen 3 days ago.

Anyone have any input?

it only makes this noise when boost kicks in.... I hear it from engine bay

 

i have the same problem when we installed my o2 housing...i just left it...no problem in boostin what so ever...good luck finding the problem...

 

Got the same things... had it for about 10k miles now. It started when I got Injen hard pipes and a HKS SSQ bov.

 

did any body look at the turbo propeller and check it for free play and if you have a hard pipe kit make sure all the vacum lines ar capped off also. pull the suction tube of the front side of the turbo grab the wheel and firmly shake it (not like you want to crack it open) just a firm shake. it might have to mutch play causing the blades to dig into the turbine housing.
