Just ordered Torco SR-1 10w30 synthetic oil. I want to see if I can tell any difference from Mobil 1.

0W is good for cold climates, however the 50W at the end of the spectrum is fine for hotter conditions. You'll be fine. 0W-50 encompasses the entire viscosity spectrum 10W-30 covers.Originally Posted by evolancer04
Yeah i run ENEOS too!! My boy got dynoed and then swapped out his mobile 1 5w-30 with the Eneos 0w-50 and the first run with the eneos didnt show any difference but the second pull he put down 8 more whp. And he also saw spool a little bit quicker and an increase in boost without adjusting anything. It also seems to run so much smooter. Im not sure if i am gonna use a 0 weight though for the summer. Out here in AZ it gets up to like 115-120 during the day in summer. I dont think 0 weight is thick enough for that.

In the Evo I've ran Mobil1 10W30 on my first change, but will move to Amsoil 10W-30 for it's 2nd change.
My other cars all see Amsoil extended drain intervals

even better than oem recommended mobil 1 10/30 is mobil 1 10/30 extended performance with more supersyn compounds added-see product specifications.

Used Mobil 1 since day one. Switching to Amsoil when the new turbo goes in. Probably 10w-40. If it's good enough for AMS, it's good enough for me.

I have used Amsoil, Mobil 1, and Royal Purple. They all felt the same, and they all have a reputation for being top notch quality. Mobil one is the cheapest by far, so thats what I have settled on.
