He´s got his MBC hooked up backwards. However, I don´t know if it´ll make it overboost or not, since I´ve never experimented with it in that way. I did install my DV backwards once, and it made the turbo spoolup faster, but that´s another story.

i will try switching the boost lines around tomorrow. but if this don't help, what else can i do?... please help me resolve this issue so i can go run my car next month. i dynoed 291 to the wheels on a mustang dyno with my setup, but boost creeps up very slow. i dont know what the cause of this is.

Dont waste your time switching them, you will overboost if its backwards, as it dosent bleed off any pressure causing the wastegate to stay shut. Sounds like you messed up the vac lines, maybe something is leaking? Give us a boost leak test and tell us what you find.

there is no boost leak at all. the boost lines are brand new, and there is no boost leak anywhere that i can find.

Ok, did you put the stiffer spring into the Hallman or did you just install it with the spring that came in it from the factory? If you have the stock spring in it it is too soft and allowing too much pressure to your wastegate thus allowing it to open and you loose boost. If you install the stiff spring it will help reduce the pressure to the wastegate and allow you too boost higher.

The way that he´s got his hoses hooked up is backwards. The bottom port on the MBC should go to the boost reference source, which in his case is the compressor housing oulet nipple. In the quote above, however, he clearly states that the bottom port on his MBC is connected to the actuator nipple, which if so, is switched backwards.

It´s not a waste of time for him to hook up his vacuum lines correctly. The side port on the MBC should go to the actuator nipple and the bottom port should go to the boost reference source. There´s only one correct way to do it.

+1: make sure you have the stiff spring installed. It isn't by default.
