476 Dyno Dynamics whp on stock block EVO9

Shearer GT35R
AEM EMS
AMS FMIC
Precision 1000cc
Walboro
MBC
Cosworth Cams
Supertech Valvetrain
ARP headstuds
Speed Element tuned

Stock clutch
Stock bottom end

26 psi boost
104 octane unleaded race gas

This weekend I tuned Racers GT35R EVO9 RS on the stock block, and was very impressed with the outcome. Our dyno is a low reading Dyno Dynamics w/ stock EVO 9's producing about 230 whp. Racers has already gone 11.5's @ 119 mph on the stock turbo which at the time only made 355 whp. When he gets a clutch in this car and takes it to the track it will be very interesting to see what he runs with an extra 120 whp with his new setup.

This equates to approximately 550 whp on a Dynojet for anyone not familiar with the Dyno Dynamics.

The AEM IX EMS performed flawlessly, and idled the Cosworth cams even better than the stock ECU, which I tune on a daily basis.

On Monday, we are going to take our shop MR and see if I can beat these numbers and hit 500 whp on the stock bottom end.

Awesome numbers, that is huge power on a Dyno Dynamics! Go easy on the thing now...

Great numbers, but why did you only tune it at 26psi on race gas? Just wondering, because that car should push well over 500whp on that DD with some more boost.

Past this boost level the stock ignition began to break up.

wow how do you guys manage this stuff, here in the UK no one would even think about running a gt35r on stock block let alone an fpgreen LOL

slightly off topic but quick question, running say 25psi on stock turbo vs 25psi on gt35r, does that put the same amount of stress on the block or does the bigger turbo running the same boost put more stress on the block?

The 35R pushing 25psi would be way more stress. You need to think about turbo efficiency and overall intake charge density. The incoming pressure is only a small part of the puzzle
