The Proof is in the meter, BR intercooler testing continued.....
A few weeks ago we did some FMIC testing, our intercooler VS. the Ebay.
I was told by numerous guys that testing FMIC's on a dyno is a waste of time. Not enough air flow etc.
In that thread I said something along the lines of our fans put out about 40 mph air speeds. I was told I was "stupid" (maybe not exact words) and that the fans could not produce 10 mph (240z was the guy that said that).
Well this bothered me as I said my redneck windspeed meter (my hand out my pick up truck window) said the fans did make about 40 mph winds.
So, being the type of guy I am I ordered a Kestrel 2000 wind speed meter. It came in today and I just so happened to be on the dyno when it did.
Attached is the video of us testing the fan with the meter.
The meter is calibrated and tested to be within 3% on the windspeed.
Check out the video.

The meter read 49.8 mph in front of the fan about 2" from the front fascia.
The other thing to keep in mind is I have two of these, as can be seen in the picture, so we can run two of them for even more volume if and when we need to.
Normally the upper fan is used on Subaru's with TMIC's on them, it blows directly into the hood scoop on them.
