nope he hasnt got it going yet. . but we've narrowd it down to the fuel system because it starts with starter fluid. He said for sure the fuel pump is getting power and is on, and its getting to the regulator but thats all. .

Yeah and I would think after a bit the pump would over run the regulator and would push it through the return but I don't know.

ya it would. But like I said it could have just been fuel left over, but you also said that your sure its getting more fuel up to the rugulator and that the pump is for sure working. are you out of gas by any chance? lol stupid question but worth asking

It sounds like the fuel pump may not have been installed correctly. Are you sure you have all the correct gaskets installed on the pump. If you don't you won't have adequate pressure getting to the fuel rail. That would also explain why it still didn't work when you went back to the stock fuel pump and why you have power to the pump but aren't getting fuel to the engine.

Honestly what good will this do? With the wonderful invention of fuel injection, pumping the accelerator is useless. Back in the day when cars had carbs, priming the jets and fuel lines was necessary, but it doesnt matter now. People who do this really have no clue.

If the pump is not getting fuel to the rail or regulator, then maybe the OP should look back at the wiring on the pump, connections, fuel filter etc. Maybe something clogged a line, broke a connection or the OP forgot to plug something back in.

I have have double checked triple checked the pump wiring and tested it, all good there. Pulled the main feed line this morning and fuel just slowly, and not with really any harder pressure than my morning ****, trickled out. I can't see the filter going bad over a few day period but I am going to investigate it more any other ideas would still be appreciated greatly. And thanks for all the ideas and help so far. But at least is a nice day out today.

i think its not getting enough pressure to the injectors, like you said fuel barely trickles out while the pump is running?

im not exactly sure, but i know it shouldnt trickel out. make sure the pump is absolutely installed correctly, like the 2 little hoses on the pump have their clamps and everything and if it is, check the feed like from the pump all the way to the fuel rail. im starting to think its pumping but maybe a line is kinked of one of the little hoses is not on causing it to just pump back into the tank

I have checked all the lines and wires I can't see anything wrong with it at all. I am going to try and chase down a fuel filter and see if that helps at all.

did your new pump not come with a high flow filter? if ur using the old one, just remove the filter ad put the pump back in ONLY to rule that out.
