Results of BG Synchroshift
I too had the 1-2 grind, but when I changed to a B&M short throw shifter, I also changed the crappy rubber bushings to the brass ones from LancerShop. I have to admit, the tranny is a whole new animal. I beat the **** outta my tranny and have NEVER had a grind or miss.
I still need to put my BG fluid in, but so far...no complaints here.

you can always shift into 1st provided that you rev match correctly.... the only thing is 1st is VERY hard because if you don't slide it in right at the right rpm.... it'll be harsh.... personally i just NEVER do this now... i did a few times in my old car during autocrosses but it never feld "good" (at least not as good as a perfect rev match into 2nd). Keep in mind that i only did it before because the powerband in that car wasn't as wide as the evo's (vtec car)!
Yeah I changed to pennzoil synchromesh at 3000 miles... only been a few hundred since, but its definitely smoother!
