I do not understand your response. Why even bother asking the question if you're not going to listen?
To hear other peoples opinions and suggestions, I never said I would abide by them. I just want to hear them, contemplate what performance gains they offer for the $$ and then think on what to do next.

If I followed the same cookie cutter templates most suggested, I would have spent more yet be slower than I am now.

Simply put some mods, at given points on the path of progression are simply not worthwhile. Injectors for example are made completely moot by meth injection, at this point in time. If I was going to pony up for a fmic kit, a good one, thats close to $900 with all the pipes and a good core. It will offer a very minimal gain when compared to a $1k green with core exchange.

Ported & coated parts.. minimal gain at this point. The purpose of the question was to find out, is there anything worthwhile left thats not prohibitively (might as well go green) expensive that offered a significant bump.

Thats why I discrededit the ported & coated items as suggestions.

I wouldn't be so quick to discredit them. Dyno proven results show ~5whp for the ported exhaust manifold ($200) and 10-15whp gains from the ported IM/TB ($375). Skip the coating and you're looking at $400-450 for 15-20whp gain, that is still pretty damn good bang for your buck.

You'll find that beyond this point there aren't too many things that will yield the big power gains that you received from your existing parts.

well these are your only options... unless you decide to go for nitrous or a turbo upgrade

I would recommend that you spend your money on the Green turbo, rather than do small things here and there. I recently added LICP and ported/coated stock mani with no appreciable SOTP gains in power OR spool-up (Note: I did not do back-to-back dyno testing after these mods, so I can't say for sure how much power, if any, was gained.)

In retrospect, I wish I would have just bought the Green - it is comparable to a 50-trim in power/air flow as I'm sure you know...

IMHO, you may be a bit disappointed in the gains after spending the $$$ for LICP, FMIC, ported mani/hotside and custom retune...

Good luck!!!

You are at the point of diminishing returns.

If you want more I would suggest FR manifold, LICP and modified stock airbox mod. if you live somewhere hot, you should also upgrade the FMIC (and UICP while you are at it). I personally think at this point upgrading the injectors gives you better fuel control / more headroom as you are pushing the stock turbo to its limits...

FYI, I have never seen anyone post gains on upgrading to a ported stock manifold. Yes it is cheap(er), but its not proven to make power. I have no idea why so many people recommend it

It doesn't say in your sig that you have cam gears. If you don't then get some adjustables and you can get a more aggressive tune.

If he is on a budget then I doubt he will opt for the full race manifold....but it is a very nice peice of work! I bought my ams licp pipe used for a good price! Helped my spool up a little bit

How much would this cost?

You know your only gonna get like 30whp form a green at this point. You might as well do what warr. said and get the supporting mods. Then go green, or just get meth now. Theres alot of things you can do and stick to the stock turbo and make 400whp, if not more if its done with a good tune.
