cams or upgrade to evo 9 turbo
I was deciding to go evo 9 turbo with new injectors and pump. The second option is cams (264/272), cam gears, injector & pump. Which will give me the best bang for the buck? I already have a dyno tune for TBE, boost pill, Evo 9 bov and a k&n drop in filter and love the extra power.
I want reliability because it is a daily drive. Any comments are appreciated and I did a search but couldn't find any answers.

Cams are going to cost you more once you figure in the cost of install unless you DIY. I would suggest getting the fuel pump either way. I don't think you need injectors just yet, the pump should bring down your IDC's enough where your OK. IX turbo's are always a good choice for our cars...
do cams, because there will come a time when you will want more power than the OEM turbo can give you, and then you will have to replace it again. Going from an 8 to a 9 turbo isn't that big a step.
On the other hands, once you've done the cams it's less likely you will want to change them again, and if you want to do the turbo later you can go FP green or something bigger.

i need some help I have a stock evo 8 turbo with manifold, turbo back exhaust, ic pipes, intercooler, fuel pump, 272 HKS cam and fidanza cam gears and a tune...how much should i expect to pull hp wise?
cams without a doubt. Do cams before an upgraded turbo, even if it is just a stock IX turbo. And I would do HKS 272/272, not 264/272. I paid $550 for brand new HKS 272s, installed them on a Saturday afternoon, and after my AMS tune the car ripped! But that's just me.

No lag? Did you dyno after the cam install?
