Extended clutch rod: Whats the REAL truth behind it?
Hey Eddie
Sorry for the late reply. I didnt look at the clutch myself to see the timing marks so I wouldnt know, Exedy shipped the clutch directly to the shop that re-installed it for me.
I would call Exedy and talk to the tech support, this can be a real pain especially if the owner comes back complaining

i ended up taking the clutch all appart and inspecting it. its almost done on its way out. the inner clutch has some life left on it, howerver the outer one on the outer part facing the tranny had already reached the end of the friction material/ceramic whatever that is. i advised the owner, he recently purchased the car. and it needed a tranny rebuild, blown front diff that took out his vcu and containing case, along with axles. so he decided to just ride it out till it starts to slip. the draging ended up being the clutch rod on the pedal being out too far covering the fluid return hole.
