IMHO I would look for the following:
(1) No block tuning
(2) Boost limits set
(3) Clean and safe AFRs and timing
(4) Different Fuel and Timing maps for High / Low (Knock)
(5) Willingness to address your questions in a professional and polite manner
(6) Willingness to tweak based upon your logs
(7) Accessibility...

I have to be careful though as I have a few hats I wear here. I can give my opinions as a consumer, yet have to withhold any bias as a Moderator, and still have to follow proper Vendor etiquette.
However, speaking as a consumer, the above points do have some merit...

JESTR!!!! His tuning is amazing. I made 350 awhp on his very first try (email flash). This is with a stock 03 turbo and stock 9.8 hotside! Plus if you look at his maps, it doesn't have huge blocks of the same redundant data
TTP best tune my car ever had very consistant times no knock never had engine failure has always reviewed my logs and adjustment were almost never needed TTP (Scott) is the only one who will touch my car.
Yeah man your car is a freak. I couldn't beleive those numbers but I saw it with my own 2 eyes. Jetsr did a great job on your tune
TTP for me. Scott did a great job on my custom tune and I could not be happier.
Very honest and treats you right.
I have known Jester for years from the DSM scene great guy, I am blessed to live in central FL.

I bet more than 75% of the people who say, "go with (insert tuners name here) for tuning, he's the best," don't even datalog.
How can you say (insert tuners name) is the best, when you have no clue how what is actually going on? I can't think how many times me and a buddy of mine had to have their ecu's "cleaned up" after receiving the initial flash from the tuner.
That's just my opinion though...

i have tried
TTP e-flash: great e-flash, definitely makes more power than stock on basic bolt-ons. never dynoed it though...
Jestr e-flash: again great product, it more aggresive than TTPs especially in timing values. On apexi intake, perrin downpipe, UR high flow cat, Turbo-xs catback, fuel pump, made 328whp on a dynojet and 299whp on a Dyno Dynamics @ 23psi, dynoed 6 days apart without any changes...
Dynoflash custom tune: on the same dynon dynamics with the same boost pressure made 324whp... of course the custom tune makes more power...
I don't mind testing all products, including tunes... i would even want to check Sean Ivey, but now i am 100% satisfied with Al so i will stick with him...
I believe you cannot go wrong with any of the above choices...

Scott from TTP and his guys impressed me a lot. He is a true professional and his team is great. I am super happy with my results and the car is running a lot harder than before others tuners did . I recommend him to anyone who wants there car to be at the top of its performance. Thank you once again TTP crew....
Well you know what I'm going to say
Jestr is the man!! I've been tuned by both Jestr and TTP. Don't get me wrong now, TTP is good at what he does, but I am happy with my current tune from Jestr. Let me put it this way, I went to a Mustang Dyno with 347WHP, and left with 390. Good Luck with what ever you choose.

hello
Well i will say how i feel. I have only use Scott for tuning and everything that i have install in my car. I will tell you that the guy is the best in the busines for what i have seen so faar. I have never use Jester tough everyone has recomend him to myself. I will try him tough. And the only reason is that once i use one person i like to stick with it. But when i first bought my car with only 1500 miles i went to Scott who sold me all the stuff i needed and installed also. But then when i email Scott to ask for a question or something he never appeared. Only once when my car all of a sudden die on me he answer his phone. Other than that i never heard from him for questions that i had about my car. But anyway i respect the men because he is a good guy but when you spend your money with a company you expect for that company to be there for you 100%. Thats why i have go and spend my money with ams even tough they sell me the stuff with a worse price tag, it cost me more but any questions i have or any help i need they are always there for me. I will try next time Jester to see how he does his work but i can tell you who is better because i only have use Scott. Hope Scott does not get mad at me for this but i'm just expressing my self. Maybe with this he can open hes eyes and see it becuse a lot of people has told me the same. Maybe he does not feel that way but until he sees people getting away from his busines is when he will realize it. Nothing against you Scott. I like you as a person but you as a company needs to back up your people.
Our phone is always on, AIM=TTPEngineering is on 24hrs a day to receive messages and I have no emails from you buddy.
We even have mobile broadband to keep our turn times and service levels at 100%, even when on the road tuning for dyno days and while commuting.
If you need something, let us know.
I can bet there is not an easier vendor to contact with faster response time than TTP when it comes to reflashing, which is the subject of this thread.
