When I get a few minutes and can plug in the numbers, I'll let you know.

Nice car.

As it sits right now, the power of your VI exceeds the stock gearing, so your optimum shiftpoint is at (beyond) redline (presumed to be ~7800 RPM). I'll throw up the graphs, which are based on VIII gearing, but are fairly close to what it'd look like with VI gearing - I'm too lazy to import the VI numbers.

Yes, the ratios upon which my figures are based are EVO8.

Datapoints: 4000 to 7500 RPM in 500 RPM increments

Thanks very much guys. It's not my car but I'm hoping for similar figures when all is said and done. But you've answered my question really. All this talk about rev limits for strokers is sort of irrelevant because you would not be keeping the car in the ideal part of the power band.

I'm not sure what you mean by this, but on the car listed above, it would be beneficial to be able to rev the engine at least another 500 if not 1000 RPM. At that point the torque curve would match up better with the stock gearing.

If these charts are reflective of the VI gearing, and as it appears to be somewhat lower than VIII gearing, it looks a little low for what I would want with a long stroke engine.

Except for 1st gear, the ratios are pretty close:

Evo VI:
Final Drive 4.53:1
1st Gear Ratio 2.79:1
2nd Gear Ratio 1.95:1
3rd Gear Ratio 1.41:1
4th Gear Ratio 1.03:1
5th Gear Ratio 0.76:1

Evo VIII:
Final Drive 4.529:1
1st Gear Ratio 2.928
2nd Gear Ratio 1.95
3rd Gear Ratio 1.407
4th Gear Ratio 1.031
5th Gear Ratio 0.72
