I agree.

I think 500whp can be done with the Green honestly w/ stock block. It will take every mod that can be done besides the turbo, but I think it could be done with a semi-aggressive tune too on race gas or meth obviously...

Any opinions?

Apples to Oranges. Subarus have over 50" of header pipe where an evo has 5". The FP Red for the older DSM's and Subaru are not twin scroll. All of these feature a 60# compressor wheel which is nice cause its like a 60-1 and that puts it somewhere in between a 3076 and a 3582 as far as flow.

As far as spool is concerned you can't say a Evo red will spool at the same rpm as the suby red. Just look at the Evo green, it does spool quicker than a Suby green. No reason to speculate, lets just wait and see what it does when it comes out. I would be surpised if its out this year also.

Good rational guys.

It wont be out this year.

FP told me "at least months and months and months" because parts are going to have to be custom designed and manufactured.

Yup, I'm pretty sure it be a sweet set up once the red hit the evo market. Just make sure it can be bolt it on or make a cast manifold that work with the factory heat shield.

So far I love the green alot.

For sure.

They wont make you have to change the manifold.Thats the whole point of the red/green concept: a complete bolt-on.

I contacted FP and was told that there are no current plans to make the FP Red.

I think this would fill a void for many people.

Alot of turbo kits would just sit on the shelves if that were to happen.

Umm My friend just called them and they told him 2-3 months the red will be out. Might be a little longer. I am gonna wait for it. Shouldn't be too much more than the green.

In the suby world the Red cost the same as the Green.... I will wait for the red too.

Let's flog this horse some more...

Does anyone have any inside contact at Forced Performance?

According to some very well substantiated communication with FP, all documented in this thread, the EvoRed Turbo will
(a) be released soon.
(b) be released, but not anytime soon. Perhaps in 2008.
(c) never be released.

Any ideas how we might get our grubby paws on some accurate info concerning a possible "red" turbo for the EVO?

I'm seeing a turbo upgrade in my future and red is my favorite color. Will I have to settle for green?

TTT
Any further word from FP on the EVORed? Anyone know someone that works there?
Thinking about a new turbo for Christmas. Can anyone with some Subie background describe the basic comparison of the Green to the Red? IOW, how much % more power with how much % later spool? I realize there would be trade-offs.

Thanks,
Jim
