Does anyone know if Forced Performance will come out with FPRed turbo for the Evo??? I know they made one for the subbie world with good results

Yeah i read about the FPred it suppose to be the father of the Green turbo. Pretty nasty. But havent seen any EVO member mention about it. Must of not came out for it yet or they rather go with something else then that..

FP's green for the evo is just a moddified 20G/IX turbo frankenstein.
I had a Green and 50 trim on my 97gsx, not worth the price difference. Hopefully somthing comes out with a higher flow rating than 47-49psi 55+ but still with good spool up characteristics like the evo-green.
it there a way to make a 50trim spool faster ?

A red flows more than an LT. Buschur was selling one with a custom manifold for the Evo a while back . I would have bought it if I didnt already have there 35r kit

A red would just be a green with a slightly larger compressor wheel-similar spool characteristics etc...around 52 lbs if it's like the subbie reds

The Red that is available for the DSM used a 60-1 compressor paired with a TD06H turbine wheel. Robert would have to design a new compressor for a red for the evo like he did with the green. Our reverse rotation setup really screws things up as far as borrowing compressors and turbines from other turbos to fit our needs. Whereas with the STI and DSM you can just rob parts off garrett turbos and (no pun intended) Robert's your father's brother.

As soon as sales start to slow down on the green, the red will come out. And be better. Thats been the formula ever since this 20g stuff started.

From what I have heard, the FP Red was a 60-1 compressor based turbo that flowed a good bit more air than the Green, but had much worse spool-up - supposedly worse than a GT35r.
We need Robert at FP or someone to make a bolt-on turbo for the Evo that flows more than the Green and 50-trim (somewhere in the area of 55lbs/min or so), then make it dual BB for better spool-up as well as using either titanium blades or magnesium blades for the turbine wheel so it could spool even closer to stock and give some low-end torque.
I think if this ^^^ could be done, giving us the ultimate bolt-on street turbo, many of us would be willing to pay a little more for it...

Right up my alley. Doesn't seem to be a great variety of 'tweener' turbos out there. I'd give up a few 100 rpms on the green's spool for an extra 45-55whp/wtq.Originally Posted by mudduck

That is wrong, the FP3052 is not a modified 50 trim. According to an email i got from Robert at FP the FP3052 is a 3076 with a housing to suit the dsm manifold.Originally Posted by Duby
