Cams in, engine bad, please help

Edit: Had the coils switched. Stupid mistake.

Also, this thread was made before I opened shop and was still working on my Evo as a hobby. Just saying. You can actually see the progession if you look at the list of threads I have started. -Adam

I did bleed out the lifters. Vishnu cam gears. I will check the rockers and let you know. Thank you.

My first thread and it turns out I'm an idiot. I had the ignition wires backwards. Car runs like a champ now, sounds mean. Sorry I wasted your time, I hope my next post will add more to the forum. -Adam

Glad you got it fixed. I was thinking it had to something simple like the gap on a plug closed up or something.

The Evomoto write up doesn't include bleeding the lifters. I emailed them about it but never got a reply. There are threads on here saying that bleeding the lifters is necessary (and explaining how to do it) in order to reduce your chances of blowing out a lifter seal. It sounded logical so I did it when I swapped the cams in.

You only need to bleed the lifters if your also replacing the springs and retainers.

the reason for bleeding the lifters is to keep from getting the tapping...


i'm glad it was something simple..

When you said you had ran the car off time i was scared you bent some valves!
