Aps Twin Vent?

Tried searching found some mix feelings about this dv. BUt no facts

So I was wondering what is the max psi this dv can hold if recirculated 100%????
Im not geeting it for the ppppssshhhhaaaahhhh. I want a good recirc bov other then the mr dv. ill be using a flash for my 50trim so i cant go tial.

I really wanted a Forge RS but no luck finding one. I got quoted an rs for $220 i was like damnnn minus well get the aps twin vent.

i thought the forge rs was strong and affordable???

I also got the option of getting the evo15 forge dv but its not adjustable and you gotta get extra springs for it.

what you guys think?

I ran the APS bov on my VIII with GT30 kit. It easily held 26 psi. I'm also running it on my stock turbo IX. I think it's much smoother at lower rpms. Car is less jerky under part throttle.

take a look at the GFB stealth FX dual vent BOV.. People say it's superior to the APS BOV. I'm not certain about that, but i use it and it works great.... it's expensive though. It will hold all the boost you can throw at it.

thanks DEL_TURBO 26 is pretty good. And thanks iTune for reccomending the gfb stealth looks sick but dammmnnn $529 wow. I couldnt care less for sound. The only reason i was gonna go with the aps is cause i can get it cheaper then the forge rs price that i was quoted which was $220.

$220 seems alot for the rs cause i know ttp was selling for only $189 so im looking for an alterantive route.

But like i said that GFB bov looks sick haha

GFB is a Australian company...that 529 is AU.....USD is like 300 something.... it's not that bad. you can get it on lancershop.com http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...&cat=27&page=1

Good luck!!

Any dual vent BOV is more for show than go. There is no reason to need a dual vent valve unless you want to make noise. There is no performance benefit.

The FORGE RS valves have been backordered for 60+ days and I don't see them coming in soon either.

This leaves the more affordable Evo15 valve which employs the same internals, minus the clicking top for micro adjustment.

The Evo15 valve with red spring is all 95% of Evo owners need and it is recirc 100% like it is supposed to be.

I have run about 40psi on a meth injected Evogreen 2006 IX with this valve. Before I installed it, the max I could achieve was 29.0psi on the stock METAL IX unit.

If anyone is interested in these, we have polished and black for $135 shipped right now in limited quantity.

I have had the APS for about 3 years and love it. It holds 24psi solid from my experiences. I dont think it is possible to recirculate 100%.....well.....anything is possible I guess. But you dont need to. It recirculates enough under low boost to totally avoid any driveability issues at all. Well you get the standard 5th gear partial throttle flutter but any bov other than stock will do this and this can greatly be helped by running your boost source before your tb rather than off the bov line. Again, my experiences...

aps for about 12k miles. perfect. no idle problems, and holds tons of boost.

These dual vent BOV's hold boost just as good as all other aftermarket BOV's. They do make a nice BOV sound that some people are looking for, and effectivly allow some charge air to be recirculated. They perform just as good. Please, don't make it seem like they will not perform as good as other BOV's that are not VTA or dual vent. We are talking about BOV performance, not weither or not your car will stall VTA. We all know the EVO needs to be recirculated to negate any drivability issues with part throttle boosting and over rich conditions..... Some EVOs have less of a problem VTA than others. I VTA 100% and have zero issues(other than a slightly rich condition between gears as in 13.0:1), 05's are known to have less issues than older models though. Thats where the dual vent comes in. The cars that are more sensitive can adjust how much VTAs and how much recircs.... This will help keep the MAF sensor happy and reduce the rich conditions and stalling.

Let it be known, that VTA will not effect WOT performce at all, unless you have a leaky BOV whilst in boost. If your BOV is leaking boost @ WOT, it's not a good BOV.....end of story. The GFB BOV will not leak boost @ WOT.....i'm sure the OP's choice won't either.

Check in the other thread in this subforum - "fp green dyno results"

A member here has been testing various DV/BOV's for boost holding capacity.

According to his testing, the APS bov held 40psi solid for over 5 minutes!

Any input as to the drivability of the Evo15, as compared to the stock IX DV?
