something weird..can anyone help?

i was driving down the road today and i was in 4th gear at around 4200rpm and i let off the gas and the motor maintained its rpm, it didnt dorp down at all until i hit the brake and pushed in the clutch. i was going on a flat road so its wasnt a downhill or anything. the weirdest thing though was a lil while later in 3rd gear around 3500ish i let off and it did the same thing but this time i pushed the clutch pedal in like less than 1/2 an inch and it sounded like it was engaging it more and the rpms came down. im totally lost and i think that it may be a clutch goin out but i havent experienced any noticable slippage under normal driving. i bought it used and it has an act clucht in it but it may be a weak or oem replacement. can anyone help. could i need a new clutch or just a pedal adjustment? sorry for the long thread. thanks

Surprised you haven't noticed the 05+ throttle hang before now.
