Act just isntalled BIG PROBLEM...!!!

i had the ACT HD installed along with the Road race engineering flywheel....picked up the car last night noticed the engagement was a little low no biggy...drove it home and didn't really notice a problem untill today. i was driving it and when i first take off out of 1st gear normaly....when im letting out of the clutch and into the gas the whole rear end makes an extremely loud thumping noise. almost like wheel hop...once i get going into 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th its perfectly fine with no problems....i visualy checked to make sure they tightened everything but im freaking out becuase it sounds like somethings breaking...the guy who installed it said it could possibly be the flywheel but rre said they're flywheels are from a machine shop and it shouldn't be. rre is going to look at the car tommorow but im wondering if i should drive the car down there or tow it. non the less im really just worried and hoping nothing is breaking....can anyone help? btw this problem is every single time i try to leave out of 1st gear and in traffic its really just annoying and sounds like stuff is breaking.

i had the exact same experience...give it some time until its fully broken in and then it will start behaving normally..all it takes is some patience and alot of pedal adjustment..
Goodluck

Are you sure you're hearing it in the rear of the car? Sometimes it sounds like things are coming from the back cause the sound travels down the driveshaft but they're really occuring in the front.

Does it happen in reverse as well?

initialy it might be coming from the front and traveling to the back through vibrations but it just feels like the thumping is coming from the back...

reverse is the worst, i was trying to back my car up to park it and its just horrible thumping...ugh...

its only on the release of the clutch out of 1st gear...i just took my dad for a ride and he said although the noise sounds like its coming from the back its from the front.
