This is why EVERYTHING on my car is from Buschur! Keep these types of things coming. Looks great. $99 would be a good price?

I thought it would be more than 6.2lbs weight savings just buy looking at it... also because Ive held that stock one and its really heavy.

nice piece.

do you plan on adding any gussets?

it will add a tremendous amount of integrity to your mount without adding much weight.

The bar weighs 6.2 pounds less than the stock part.

No tow hook going on, with the way the piece is designed if you need to tow the car you can simply go around the bar that goes up to the engine mount.

The bars will be powder coated in gloss black.

Not making the bar in titanium. No intention of adding any gusset at this point, going to try it like it is and see how it works.

Also, the lower tie bar that attaches to it, forgot about it to be honest. It was built on our black drag car that doesn't run the tie bars and this particular car was on the lift and we just tested it, it did not have them either.

I don't run them on my RS either. It will not have provisions for the tie bar. If you are looking at a part like this to save some weight and add a stiff front engine mount then eliminating the tie bars.............should have been done already anyway.

cool piece! i dig the originality!

but i have to say i think your leaving out part of the market by leaving the above mentioned items out, i understand your reasoning but sometimes the customer has a diffrent agenda....... hey, if im right im shure someone will come along & re-design it

a few items i believe could improve this piece

a tow hook
Subframe brace mount
possibly a small pad on the underside as some people use this as a lifting point & i dont think the bar would hold up well to repeated lifting with a floor jack
possibly some gusseting on the mounts

Charlie, you can bank on the fact that some other douche bag will come along and copy/redesign the part after we have it done. It's been a 100% gauranteed action of others for the 18 years I have been doing this! haha

I already said the tow hook can be taken care of simply by going around the bar for the engine mount.

We are also adding some gussets to the bar, I didn't realize it was in the makings already and the part we got was to test fitment only.

The pad for jacking up the car will not be added, this bar will NOT support the car by being jacked up on it. Jack the car from the sides where it was intended to be lifted. Even the stock brace bends from continued jacking on the flat point it has on it.

No time frame on release or pricing. It shouldn't be too long though.

I'm actually interested in this, my turbo setup comes really close to the existing bar and motor mount.

Plus, removing that tie bar means no more problems with the downpipe hitting it (and picking up noise if you have a stock ECU) so it makes sense.

Good stuff. When it comes out I will prob go for this instead of just getting a conventional motor mount replacement. Weight off the front of the car is always a good thing on the Evo. Keep the innovative new products coming!
