Wow, really? 4140, 4130, 4142 are also grades of moly. Thanks for letting me know though. You know without guys like you helping me out I just don't know what I'd do.

That's pretty funny, David. I actually was going to order this, but you just lost a sale because of this comment. Looks like I will have to make one myself now.

There is something about being modest, you know, your arrogance is what keeps me from buying things from you.

Calm down, he was just poking fun back at you. Some people just can't take a joke!

It might not, nor do I care. The only thing it goes to show is David could make more money being modest, as I am sure I am not the only one on this board that feels like this. In the greater good, to me, all I see in an unsavy businessman that only worries about "how much better he is" than everyone else with his smartass comments, failing to remember he has a wife and kids at home and a life to support. The sole reason we are all working, is to make a life for ourselves, to make money to enable us to have that life we desire. In not being modest, he is only losing sales for his business, and thus making it harder only on himself to make his business generate more profit. But alas, I will bet my bottom dollar that someone might even be so unpolished as to get on here and explain how he has enough money that he doesn't care either...

One sale lost only turns into more, and verbal reccomendations spread like wildfire...

tkklemann, so it is OK for you to think you are giving me a leason on what chrome moly is but it is not OK for me to come back and tell you that the particular grade you pointed out wasn't the only one? A guy like that I don't want to deal with, so it is not a lost sale from what I can see it is a lost headache and those I don't need, I have more than enough.

As far as the money, while I can always use more money, the loss of this sale isn't going to make a bit of difference, I'd have made a whopping $40-50 on it. Let's see that takes care of abou 1 minute of overhead at this shop. I'll just let everyone go home at 5:59 today.

I would rather buy from someone who tells it like it is than some butt kissing sales guy that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside and preteneds to be your best friend only to turn around and stab a knife in your back by selling you a piece of garbage.....

I think buschurs products and customer service speaks louder than "reccomendations" or he wouldnt have been around as long as he has

And the best part of this whole thing is, you say tomato, I say tomaaaato.

I am an engineer, I usually call things by their name, ie, 4340 instead of what you might call it, chromoly. I never intended to give you a lesson of any kind, mor or less a headache. I think my point will be valid by a simple search of the things I post, ie, not trying to start headaches..

In the end, we are simply arguing the same damn thing, aren't we? And we all go home, and tomorrow is a new day.. But continue on, further proving my point listed in my post after yours..

For my original post, I only simply stated it I made a bad assumption that you in fact do know everything Mr. Buschur. Maybe you should audition for the Yellow Book Commercials..
