Also, this other new part. I will have the first final part here in my hand this Friday. It will be our display piece and will be here at the shop and at the race this coming weekend. Factory piece weighs in at 16 pounds, the new one should be no more than 6, if my guess is right. Still keeping it quiet It's bad ***.

Actually I was thinking originally it would be about $200, but with the addition of the tow hook and multiple gussets we ended up at $250. Seems about right to me.

As with anything, if it's too much.....................don't buy it

Hmmm I gotta get me one of those. I'd rather loose weight off the car than add power anyway!

Good work David.

No clues. You'll have to attend the shootout this weekend to see it or wait for us to post pictures

I am hoping to have both new parts on my RS for the weekends race.

Did you always run your RS without lower tie bars as required by this new piece? Did you feel any difference when you removed them?

I took the tie bars off over the winter. With Trent (amatuer) autocrossing my car at the Winged Warrior event he placed 4th overall in the fastest class in my car. I highly doubt the tie bars would have moved him up

Dave

Do you plan to me a hole line of light weight parts in the future??

Are these parts weaker the same or stronger then what the factory used???

Thats pretty good info, has the handling "feel" of the car changed at all, like more sloppy or anything like that?

We have been making light weight parts for almost 19 years.................our exhaust is the lightest, battery kits, etc., etc.,

I don't know which part is stronger or handles better.

Guys, this part is a lightweight piece of tubing with a built in motor mount. It was designed to loose some weight off the front of the car and to hold the engine where it is suppose to be. End of story.

If you are NOT looking to drop some weight and add a stiff front mount in the process then this is not for you.

Seriously? I hope they kept atleast one of them for the display! Thanks for the orders.

I brought one home with me tonight to install on my RS. I jacked the car up from the passenger side, put two jack stands under it and changed it in no more than 15 minutes. Good fitment, no problem. Looks nice.
