Which Cams for my setup??

Hey guys sorry if this thread is a repeat but I am in a very big hurry because I am about to deploy. I have a 2005 Evo8 with 3"TBE HKS Hi-Power and Injen Intake w/ Upper IC pipe. I live in Hawaii and ride with a car club out here that is flying Chris from AEM out here to tune some evo's. I am having him tune/reflash my stock ECU but before that I want to put cams in. With every thing stock except the two items I listed I was wondering which cams would work before for me. I was thinking HKS 272/272 but a friend of mine told me that those where to big for my stock turbo. He recommended 264/264. I have been looking at GSC 264/264 from lancershop.com for 200.00 a piece. What do you guys think or recommend. Please help me asap. Thanks alot. (p.s. I am looking for good all around extra power for the street and possible something I could use/grow into with future mods to the engine)

Yea but im kinda looking for it to be more full range power not just top end. I dont want to have like a major lag at low RPM's

ok so even with my setup or lack there of you would still go with the 272's? and they will be good with everyday driving and a drag or two from time to time.

272's all the way.. you now after a couple months youll be kicking yourself for buying the 264's and will have to try to sell those and open your mototr back up again for the 272's.. Do it once!

Your running a full intake and TBE right? I see no mention on boost controller, but I Would do 272/272 really.
i never hand any problems with idle quality or lack there of. perhaps teh occasional stumble at a light but it would never die. usually when i cam in quick and iy was running rich. a good tune will make that bird fly.

again I run a IX now and am waiting for more cam selection but seriosly dont be afraind to go gigger than smaller. thinkof it as shooting a "ma duece" compared to a M249

Cool thanks. Please feel free to give me as many inputs as possible guys I need as much opinions as possible as soon as possible because i am about to deploy. so i need to order/install and tune quickly. Keep em coming. (p.s. so far im leaning to the HKS 272/272 and thats whats on my order form as of now) Oh yea and I have a Wallbro 255 Fuel Pump coming and Hallman Pro RX manual boost controller coming too.

On a stock turbo with HKS 264/272s my car had very linear powerline and stock like idle. Also tuning is going to take a large role in your results, but i'm sure Chris knows what he is doing.

P.S. still running the same cams on my 3076 and still stock like idle

However I think I am slowly leaning towards those new GSCs S1 cams. I don't think the gains are worth my hassle... for now

as for the idle i like the more "muscle car rumble" to the 272/272 idle i was just a bit concerned about things like stalling. as for the linear powerline what exactly do you mean by that? keep in mind i will just be having the stock ecu flashed
