synchros $$$$$
Doing the synchros themselves is not a big job, but unfortunately, to get to them, you have to drop the trans. It's basically a full clutch job plus opening the trans and replacing the synchros, so that could be anywhere from $600-800.
I'd make absolutely sure it's your synchros before replacing them. Often times, it's just a clutch going bad or the clutch needs adjustment. Also, Mitsu has replaced a lot of synchros under warranty in the past, because it was a known problem. Your car is new, so they should fix anything like that under warranty anyway.
