manifold spacer removal=300hp???
A kid I met (a Tech) told me that there is a spacer between the head and manifold that restricts flow for emissions or some jazz. He told me that removing it will get yield substantial gains. Is this true?

He said he had pictures of this "restrictor gasket" that he removed from two different EVO's yet no pictures have surfaced. Someone on this board actually took their exhaust manifold just to verify this rumor and yes, it was just a rumor. There is NO "restictor gasket" on the EVO. I have included the picture below...
