Mine does it but only recently when I installed bigger injectors. Try letting the pump prime before attempting to start it.

Ok well heres what it could be:
Low engine compression
Bad engine vaccumm ie. very leaky ic pipe
Fouling spark plugs
Dying battery
And driving around with a intake and no tune is stupid you are slowing killing your car, just hope your problem is not from low compression because you were running too lean and burned your pistons. GET A TUNE.

^^^ I have a similar problem - the car technically starts - I can let go of the key in the ignition - but it struggles to "come to life."

This began after I had 750cc injectors and cams installed at like 12k miles - car is custom tuned...

One thing I've noticed is my car starts great when it's cool outside, but after getting off work at like 5 p.m. when it's hot out, car struggles big time... should this last fact point me towards changing the plugs or the tune?
