Weird Sound

When i drive around in my 06 Evo MR I notice a sound coming from the front of the car everytime I let off the gas and the noise is the loudest in 4th gear. What could this noise be and is it something serious? I think it might be the transmission?

i dont think that your transfer case is the issue cause they sound everytime not just because you lift off the throttle.
does the noise go away when you apply the gas back?

not at all maybe you did put to much stress on your clutch components when you launched it. its your throw-out bearing dont worry just dont keep abusing of your clutch when you drag race

not not true if you go a drag race and dont have enough wheel spin and you dump the clutch you will break it or if you put an oil thats not recomended and you will also break it
