I just bought one myself ( not ebay ) , ill let u know the results on a full bolt on car w/ cams

 

Buschur Racing stopped selling their ported one and started reselling the eBay ones... The ported stocker might be less prone to cracks, but...

 

...it takes less time/money to buy bulk of ebay then port a stocker 1 by 1

 

is there any actual hp gains from the housing or does the turbo just spool up quicker?

 

DB logged with the stock, ported stock, and ebay... the ebay put down more HP, you will see about 5 HP gain to the wheels i think it was. The ported stock did not perform as well. It may have been more HP. Do a search for O2 comparison, or email DB or call buschur and ask them about the numbers. You could also search for all posts started by DB

 

Actually DB saw more like 15whp gain from the ebay o2 housing. The ported stocker didn't do much.

 

Nice to know, dave was pushing the stock equipment intensively for a while there.

 

There's a huge thread from David Buschur showing the exact results on the same car with back-to-back-to-back runs. This information is readily available and is also common knowledge now.

dude-It's not like there is a stickied dyno compare thread anywhere, besides, there are many huge threads that are created after daivid makes a post, hence there are many threads to read through, unless your locked up in jail, i doubt that you'll want to spend the time to read through them all, unless your sitting @ home due to in-house lock-up or your just masturbating to every post made on evom...........

get a megan o2 housnig for $100-, call it a day. you can port a stocker to the inside diameter the ebsay unit comes in, if you tried to, you'll spend some time, even if you had new carbide bits. when your mid-way through, you'll be asking yourself "what the f-k am i thinking & I why didnt i just buy a ebay unit"
