Other types of clutches...?

I am looking into getting a clutch, and i want to get a exedy twin disk, but just don't have enough money for it. With the ACT's, i know a lot of people that have lockout at 7,000 rpm...

my question is has anyone had any luck with other clutches? clutchmasters or centerforce?

I think if you read up on the subject you will realize that lockout has occured on all kinds of clutches, including the Exedy twin. Basically at high rpm, more air gap is required on the disc surfaces. When the clutch is abused and the surfaces warp or the clutch is not adjusted right to allow for this additional air gap, then you get locked out of gears. Adjusted right and not warped from overheating and lockout shouldn't occur.

The Exedy stage two is a 4 puck, not 6.. I have that clutch and so far so good... I have 4500 miles or so on it I believe....mostly going to/from the drag strip.

It takes a bit to get used to for DD and try to avoid traffic jams if at all possible

Got mine from 1320 performance, good price
