yes you can. you will have to find a reputable turbo builder and have it replaced/rebuilt AND rebalanced...nothing like open element filters ehhh??

I'm not even sure how this happened. I just lost all boost pressure and looked everywhere for leaks. then finally thought what the hell I'll look at the turbo

Did you leave something in your IC pipe?

I did'nt have anything in the IC piping that I know of. But still. I wouldnt think that would cause this. If I had something in the intake pipe then it would probably cause it. But I'm fairly sure there was nothing in it.

couple of things that could cause that.

1. since the turbine wheel is spinning at 12,000rpm, and some small particulate hits it, it will just snow ball from there.

2. something got through your filter.

3. something within the filter itself let loose inside.

inspect your filter inside VERY METICULOUSLY. you could have ingested something too...look for a small hole in the filter element. use a flashlight to illuminate the outside while looking on the inside.

GL..

I agree, I will check those things out before I put a new compressor wheel on it (if its possible to do that) I just want to know if it is possible to fix this turbo or if I HAVE to get another one. anyone know???
