Try contacting AMS. While they may not be able to rebuild the turbo for you ( maybe they can ) they will definitely be able to lead you in the right direction.

Their customer service is top notch. GL.

like i suggested earlier, it is possible. as someone above also suggested, contacting AMS is your best option at this point....

I would definitely call the vendor first to see what they could do. But if it involves rebuild/repair I would go this route.

Option1)
Follow these steps from the garrett website

Ball Bearing Service Program

Garrett now makes it easy to restore or rebuild your Garrett Ball Bearing Turbocharger! A qualified Performance Distributor will examine your turbo and determine the possible causes of failure. If it is repairable, they will rebuild your turbo for a dramatically lower cost than a new unit!

"lower cost than a new unit" = will not be cheap (probably).

Option 2)
Check to see if your turbo qualify for Ball Bearing Service Program by garrett. Seeing that the only damage is to the compressor wheel your center section should be reusable. I would only consider this if the cost of repair is somehow higher than replacement turbo price. Again not cheap and only slightly cheaper than buying new.

I contacted AMS and they said it would be covered under warranty. But I dunno.... I seem to always get screwed somehow on things like this. I'm holding my breath until its resolved lol
