i tried to adjust the pedal yesterday and it seemed to work but i guess it was just because i had just stopped driving a coupple min before so i still had the same problem today.

i wrote act about the problem and they said that when adjusting the pedal to adjust it gradually until the clutch disengages properly.

so i'm going to try adjusting it again. it that doesn't work than i'll bleed my my clutch whin i install my ss clutch line this weekend.

don't freak out. The ACT is actually a real good clutch. No one here in VEgas has ever had a problem with it.

Just keep messing with the adjusment and definetly bleed it again.

You said that it only happens when you first start the car but it doesn't happen after that? A clutch doesn't change like that. It either works or doesn't, and not really affected by start up or warm up. If you have adjusted it and there is no change I have a couple thoughts. Hydraulics can bleed down if faulty and do that or a different transmission fluid can make shifting sluggish until hot as well (not sure which brands) but I don't know if you changed fluid.

And how does that help with this situation here? There are quite a few people here with ACT clutches without issues. If you've tried adjusting it, try bleeding the system again like Dirk said.

you get the same affect if the car is off too?? in the morning before a start...maybe its the fluid, possibly not enough in there, or drain, and put in stocker diaqueen.

I agree, the ACT clutch is a great clutch, i have it on my IX now from the stock crap clutch. When i first got it installed it was very grippy....now it holds great! For the poster that has the engaugement issue, could it possibly be the tranny synchros? My reverse wouldnt go in gear and 5th & 3rd grinded, and found it was not the clutch at all, it was the tranny.
