Dumb, Fuel Pump Question
When you guys turn your car to acc does your fuel pump prime?
seems like i remember mine doing so. But my car quit today and i'm troubleshooting and when the key is turned on the fuel pump doesn't wine at all.
So i'm thinking dead fuel pump?

hmmm, mine doesn't seem to prime. Never has in accessory mode per the fuel pressure gauge. Sits on zero. When you shut the car off after it's been running with good fuel pressure, and leave the key in the accessory mode, it shows about 30#'s pressure and slowly bleeds down to zero but it takes about 15 minutes, so I know the guage is reading correctly in accessory.
Are you guys sure it primes in accessory? Mine's an 03 fwiw and doesn't prime.

i think that relay is under the hood in the engine comp. and yes it should prime but the stock AND aftermarket pumps are quiet b/c they're "in tank" pumps and run quiet regardless. especially with more fuel in your tank than less.

i'm having a very similar issue in my turbo lancer, i remember there being a prime on the acc position and my car won't start up now, and i'm hearing nothing from the pump.
