Well my thoughts are this, the VSR intake is BEAUTIFUL, I have had one on my car for 2 years and it still looks beautiful. With you adding a 2.3 liter you will make up for the torque loss and gain the top end which is what the VSR gives you.

On big turbo's the VSR is awesome, I only had a 50 trim and it added a huge amount of gains for me anyway.

It's all about what you want, you are going to have the AMS lovers and the Buschur lovers,

They are both proven to work however from what I understand and have read the VSR will give you more top end.

If you're running a big turbo and stroker, I don't see why you wouldn't go with the AMS intake mani.

Was that on one of the old style ones? They seemed to have changed their style and the new one looks 1000x better than the old one. I'm considering the WR Intake Manifold but they've always seemed like a crappy ricer company to me. Seems like they've come up in the world, though.

Magnus has had a manifold longer than AMS, however that doesn't mean that it is better (in design or final product).

I assume it was one of the old style ones. The WR bolts right up to the stock piping. I am not sure if the Magnus does or not.

AMS VSR you will loses power, unless you have biggy like 3076R and up. on the other hand the WR and MAgnus bolt right on. Except the WR is a POS. it will crack. I do a lot of big road course racing. The the cheap *** Chinese made WR cracked on me. As for my Magnus, it have been working perfectly so far.

i went with the AMS VSR..although i am still running the stock turbo...

i made this decision after a friend of mine with the same setup gained about 28hp and sustained a better power curve through out the power band...he is also running the stock turbo...

however we both opted for the stock throttle body

How long have you have the Magnus manifold installed?
What is the power difference like?

Thanks

What other mods does your friend or you have?
Was any power lost on the bottom end?
Thanks

I had the VSR on my car from when the car was an all bolt on stock turbo through the 50 trim and the 2.0 and then to the 2.3.

This intake will not let you down, especially when you are running a 37R...... It will give you the most up top since I assume you are drag racing the car.

I don't think you are going to lose as much as everyone is making it out to be.

Maybe you should contact AMS and Buschur and do back to back testing with your car.......
