There really is no substitute for our VSR intake manifold. Peak power is increased dramatically, mid range is increased and the there is little to NO spool or torque lost from our setup. Please do not compare other sheet metal intakes to the AMS VSR as we tested over 10 different runner lengths and plenum sizes to find the optimum setup. You should see our R&D department, its scattered with various versions of our VSR durring our test process.

There simply is no substitute for our VSR manifold. Especially now that its on sales for $899.95!

If that is the case, why not do a back to back with the Magnus race mani?

IMHO it seems to me the perfect way to prove a product is to put it up against the competition. Sadly, us Evo owners are left to sift through threads and dyno charts and just hope we make the right decision.

How much would it cost AMS to do this test? Buy the race manifold from Magnus... 1k. A few dyno runs with tuning. Sell the Magnus used to get a bunch of money back!

I just don't understand....

The thing I don't understand is, if Weapon R of all companies can make a manifold to fit the stock piping and have ALL of the stock connections without modifying, WHY CAN'T OTHER COMPANIES????

Exactly. That's one major reason I'm considering the Weapon R.

I would like to see you guys test the VSR against the Full-Race Hypertune Intake Manifold and then we will see whose is the best.

Hint: Another company is designing an intake in two versions. One for stockish setups with lower rpm ranges, while the other will suit the big turbos and higher rpm ranges (9-10k).

I am sure everyone would love to see that happen but if you have not noticed that will never happen unless it is done by an outside source like a magazine or another evo owner with lots of money to spend.

At some point I will have quantifiable results of a ported OEM unit vs. the Magnus non-race version.
