ACT/HDSS CLUTCH..

2step at 6500rpms, building boost to 16psi then a quick slip of the clutch and then full release. Hold on and 2nd gear comes way to fast.

with the 35r I had my stationary rev limiter set to 5800 RPM. with a quick slip of the clutch it was good for mid 1.7s on all season tires. Once and a while the rear end would slid out on the launch but the front wheels would pull the car straight. YRMV.

had my 2step at 6k then moved up to 6.4k still have not found the sweet spot gettin wheel hop but did get quicker at 6.4k, track conditions and vehicle setup play major role in all of this , obviously

watch that wheel hop, with the power your making you will break **** in a heartbeat. I prefer not to use a 2step usually, just rev it to about 75-8k and then come out on the clutch, is usually a little less shock on the drivetrain and comes out of the hole just fine with the right clutchwork.

LoL, 6500 is fine IMO. The broken tranny would be from a combination of things: ACT Clutch (even when adjusted) causing gear lockout, I was told this caused most of the issues. Driver error of pulling out of third before the clutch was fully engaged.

EDIT: I was also pushing the limit of the ACT clutch with 400ft/lbs of torque. It was my error in installing that clutch on my setup, I have been told numerous times that I should have had a twin disc. Which now on my new setup I have a Carbonetics Triple disc.

I was at 5900 rpm with the stock turbo making 16 psi off the line.

With the 35r I am at 7100 rpm and 16 psi.

Not if you know what your doing! Ive done it several times on the street and the strip without breaking tranny parts. Rev set @ 6500rpms... oh yea. You MUST SLIP the clutch.
